The Iowa Smiles Award is presented by Delta Dental of Iowa to Iowans who put smiles on the faces of others — especially in the fields of health care, education and community service.
Examples include:
- A health care professional especially regarded for warm, loving care
- A teacher who goes above and beyond classroom expectations
- A volunteer always ready to do his or her part in the community or to lend a caring hand to those in need
Iowa Smiles Award winners receive:
- Custom-designed Iowa Smiles Award trophy
- 100 toothbrushes donated to the school of their choice
- Recognition in news release sent to local media
